Introduction

AFRICA REGION HQ, IHRC-RFT The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) Africa Region HQ steers the affairs of all the African countries in the International Management Council as a recognized unit working under the supervision of World Chairman, Amb. Dr. Sahid Amin Khan. In the last five years the IHRC Africa Region HQ has achieved great feats focusing on the subject of peace in the presence of conflict across the nations of the African Continent while entrenching love in the presence of hatred in the midst of communities. The manament of the IHRC Africa Region HQ led by Dr. Tivlumun Innocent Ahure, Director-General/Ambassador of the IHRC Africa Region HQ really commits to striving for unityand pursuing peace.

The International Human Rights Commission Relief Fund Trust became an Intergovernmental Organization on November 22, 2012 after the first meeting of Intergovernmental Relations Council (IGRC) under the Presidency of His Excellency General, Emile Lahoud former President of Lebanon, in which IHRC passed its status to work as Intergovernmental Organization.

The International Human Rights Commission Relief Fund Trust, as INGO, is fully supportive of the AU-UN reforms and common positions to strengthen inclusive growth of The Least Developed Countries (LDCs) as well as stand ready to defend the Human Rights Charter of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) according to the aims and objectives of the International Human Rights Commission declaration in 1988, Rome, Italy.  The IHRC and all its organs, including the International Human Rights Commission Relief Fund Trust as INGO are aggressively promoting the UN SDGs-2030 in 70 countries-with representatives on various committees of the UN, EU, OIC, Commonwealth and other regional agencies-partnering in different countries with NGOs (in country) when the need arises in pursuit of creating better quality of life and certainly, with the sole aim of leaving no one behind. (Goal# 17 of the UN SDGs 2030).

World Chairman & Ambassador at Large, International Human Rights Commission (IHRC)Dr. Mohammed Sahid Amin Khan is a distinguished international diplomat, humanitarian, and human rights advocate who serves as the World Chairman and Ambassador at Large of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC).The IHRC is an intergovernmental organization with its headquarters in Islamabad and liaison presence in Geneva, Switzerland. The IHRC has operational networks across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Under Dr. Khan's leadership, the Commission has grown into a formidable voice for the protection of human dignity, the promotion of the rule of law, and the defense of vulnerable populations in conflict-affected regions.

Tivlumun Innocent Ahure is a distinguished Associate Professor of International Development Studies and a prominent figure in human rights and diplomacy. He serves as the Global Director General of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) Africa Region Headquarters and Ambassador-at-Large, leading delegations and advocacy efforts across Africa. As President of NgIMUN, he organizes high-level diplomacy studies and Model United Nations events, promoting human rights and diplomacy. His work includes reviewing cases of government-supervised persecutions, leading diplomatic efforts, and engaging with government officials to align events with national agendas. He has been recognized with awards and titles, including Ambassador-at-Large and Commissioner, for his contributions to human rights in Africa.

AFRICA SEXUAL HARASSMENT/ASSAULT RESPONSE PREVENTION (A-SHARP)

In 2022 IHRC-RFT Africa Region HQ established it’s flagship Secretariat for Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services that works to prevent and eliminate sexual violence and promote healing and empowerment for people of all genders and ages who are affected by rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, stalking and sexual harassment. This therefore serves as IHRC’s recognized desk Sexual Harassment/Assault Response Prevention (A-SHARP) acknowledged by the IHRC International authorities as a standard platform for responding to issues of gender violence in Africa

IHRC HUMAN RIGHTS COMMUNITY HOUSING PROJECTS

In accordance to provision of Affordable Housing listed in SDGs in order to increase and improve housing opportunities for low – and moderate – income households and special needs populations, including the homeless, elderly and disabled individuals, the IHRC Africa Region HQ, set up a mechanism to design ways and means to contribute efforts to the mission of providing affordable housing based on mortgage reforms. Indeed, Nigeria faces a severe housing deficit. This entails creating linkages between provision of land to property developers, increased availability of housing finance, reduction in property transaction costs and job creation across sectors ancillary to the provision of additional housing stock in African countries.

HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION FORUM OF THE IHRC RFT AFRICA

The Human Rights Education Forum of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) is the apex higher education unit established by the IHRC. The unit has entered into agreements that facilitates building synergies and amplifying the contribution to SDGs in higher education training courses towards the award of Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree and Post Graduate Diploma in several courses that are geared towards socio-economic development in pursuit of the SDG agenda

Thar Desert Of Pakistan Drought 1998-2002:

The Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, is a large, infertile region in the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent. With an area of more than 200,000 km. It is world’s 18th largest desert and also Asia’s 3rd largest desert. It lies mostly in the Indian state of Rajasthan, and extends into the southern portion of Haryana and Punjab states and into northern Gujarat state. In Pakistan, the desert covers eastern Sindh province and the southeastern portion of Pakistan’s Punjab province. The Cholistan Desert adjoins the Thar Desert spreading into Pakistani Punjab province.
