Legal Status/Disclaimer
Concise commitment and responsibility for keeping and making sure our operations are compliant with all the relevant laws and regulations of our organization and the countries where we have been able establish our chapters is handled by a legal committee. It is made up of lawyers and legal experts and are considered to be the legal counsel of the IHRC RFT Africa Region. Legal monitoring makes up most of their day-to-day workload. This Legal Advisory Committee represents and defends our interests in courts and government bodies. The team initiates litigation in case of court examinations, and they are responsible for creating and enforcing ordinances and gathering existing claims in favor of the IHRC work.
Their role is to look into all the contracts that the IHRC intends to sign, as well as to ensure that all the organization’s contracts are in line with the laws of the IHRC on the one hand and protect the IHRC on the other hand, as well as representing the IHRC before external and internal parties.
