The IHRC Geneva Africa HQ marked United Nations Day with a celebration that underscored the organization’s commitment to the UN’s mission of promoting peace, dignity, and opportunity for all. Ambassador Dr. Tivlumun Innocent Ahure, Head of Delegation for Africa, reviewed proposals from IHRC Country Directors from six African countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, DRC, and Chad.
The proposals focused on UN-focused training opportunities across various areas, including:
- Internships
- Fellowships
- Grants
- Training
- Youth leadership
Dr. Ahure highlighted the IHRC Geneva’s partnership with NgEducators Limited, which has been instrumental in organizing top-level diplomacy studies. He expressed enthusiasm about upcoming events, including the Model Organization of Islamic Co-operation in Nigeria and the Model United Nations in Cameroon, scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
