Special Report: IHRC RFT Africa HQ Observes Cameroonian Presidential Election, Promoting Democracy and Electoral Integrity

The International Human Rights Commission Relief Fund Trust (IHRC RFT) Africa HQ, led by Ambassador Dr. Tivlumun Innocent Ahure, played a pivotal role in observing the Cameroonian presidential election held on October 12, 2025. With its special consultative status at the United Nations, IHRC RFT was duly accredited by Cameroonian authorities to monitor the polls.

IHRC RFT Election Observation Mission

Ambassador Dr. Jeannot Motassi Lea, Head of the IHRC RFT African Elections Field Team spearheaded the election mission. He worked tirelessly to ensure the accreditation process was completed, enabling the IHRC RFT observer mission to operate effectively.

Election Observation Process

The IHRC RFT deployed several observers across the country to monitor the electoral process. The team’s findings are currently being compiled into a comprehensive report, drawing inputs from the IHRC RFT overseas situation room and the main office in Douala.

Promoting Democracy and Electoral Integrity

Through this observation mission, IHRC RFT reaffirms its commitment to promoting democracy, electoral integrity, and human rights in Africa. Under Amb. Dr. Tivlumun Innocent Ahure’s leadership, the organization continues to support free, fair, and transparent electoral processes.
